A Coaching threadCoaching threadAn issue followed across comparable sessions, such as entry-speed spread at T5 or section-time spread through the esses. follows one trackable issue across comparable sessions. Threads stay separate by track and bike, and show how the same measurement changes over time.

How threads work

When LapBrain identifies an issue it tracks across sessions, such as entry-speed spread at T5, it starts a thread. Each later comparable session that checks the same issue adds to that history.

Thread states

  • Active: the issue appears in the latest checked session.
  • Intermittent: the issue is absent from one or two checked sessions after appearing earlier.
  • Mastered: the issue is absent from three consecutive checked sessions.

A current thread also shows an Improving trend when its measurement moves toward the reference. Improving is a trend within the thread, not a separate lifecycle state.

If the issue appears after a Mastered period, the same thread returns to Active and keeps its earlier history.

Why threads matter

A thread connects the first finding to what later sessions measured:

Issue found → Later comparison → Measured change → Next focus

LapBrain performs the comparison automatically. You and your coach add the context about what you worked on and what else changed that day.

note

Progress appears once a later comparable session includes the same measurement. More checked sessions build a longer history.

Viewing your threads

Open Dashboard and select a track to see its coaching history. Each thread shows when the issue first appeared, how its measurement changed, and its current status. A debrief may also show thread context beside the matching focus item.

What to do next

  1. Review your current threads: open the LapBrain menu, choose Dashboard, and select the track you're riding next.
  2. Choose one current focus: carry one relevant check into your next session.
  3. Upload when it suits you: LapBrain places sessions in the order they were recorded, even if you upload an older file later. Uploading sooner simply lets you see the follow-up sooner.
  4. Read Comparing Sessions for the full cross-session workflow.
